Perhaps there is some correlation, one of which I am not aware and did not research, but I thought it was rather interesting that a hotel would be named the same as a brand of meat or cheese from the deli.
The Boar's Head Inn is where Isaac and I stayed two weekends ago for a little getaway I had surprised him with. Keeks watched Levi for two nights while we drove out to Charlottesville for a wonderful day at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards whilst we sipped wine and ate pizza. Oh to be carefree again!
I had been wanting to surprise Isaac for a while now, just for all his hard work. I knew he had been tired and needed a break from long weeks of taking care of Levi by himself to long nights on the streets.
After the winery, we headed back to the hotel, [NAPPED!], got dressed (I wore heels thankyouverymuch), and headed to dinner at C&O Restaurant. The food was great, but the place was small, and we sat probably two feet away from another couple. We could hear their every word and they could hear ours. Awkward!!
After dinner we came home and crashed, slept until morning, and had coffee. The rest of the day was spent meandering downtown Charlottesville and eating breakfast at a local coffee shop. It was such a nice getaway and one I wish we could do more of.
My favorite part of downtown...the brick roads!
Charlottesville is beautiful and the hotel was beautiful. Pics of the trip are below. Enjoy!
